Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing moderate complexity testing with adherence to experimental methodologies.
- Maintain complete and accurate recordings of experimental results.
- Compiles and interprets experimental results to present to senior colleagues.
- Prepare biological specimens and samples.
- Assists in the setup of experiments and the collection and recording of data.
- Follow and ensure strict laboratory safety procedures and safety checks.
- Track and maintain equipment maintenance and calibration records.
- Maintain laboratory stock inventory.
- Assist in the validation of hardware, software, instrumentation, test kits, and procedures as directed.
- Handle procurement.
- Provide experimental support to research scientists.
- Assist in product documentation.
- Perform laboratory housekeeping.
Key Qualifications/Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of the care and use of laboratory equipment.
- Keen to learn and eager to expand knowledge.
- Ability to give shape to ideas.
- Interest in in vitro diagnostics development, molecular diagnostics, assay design, validation and verification studies.
- Enjoys collaboration.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Follow oral and written instructions.
- Collect data, keep accurate records, and prepare reports.
- Prepare chemical or biological solutions according to instructions.
- Operate semi-independently and efficiently.
- Manage time and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Keen to troubleshoot and adapt when working on different projects.
