Job Title: Accountant
We are now looking for an Accountant to join our team, Financial Statutory Accounting Services. The position is a permanent opportunity. The preferred location for the position is in Pandan Crescent, Singapore.
What will you be doing;
As Accountant, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
· Proactively prepare and support company level reporting, according to Wärtsilä Corporation accounting manual, guidelines and local accounting requirements.
· Daily and/or weekly activities related to Financial Statutory Accounting Services:
· follow-up Accounts Payable monitoring tasks;
· pre-check payment batches;
· cash flow monitoring;
· liaise with bankers for any banking issues.
· Period end closing activities on company level in SAP and HFM including General ledger postings, e.g. payroll, accruals, corrections, clearing.
· Assist in external and internal auditing of the company.
· Support in indirect taxes declaration.
· Support in the internal controls related tasks.
· Support WSSC/FSAS's project & activities by working together closely with other colleagues in the Group relate to account payables, payments, travel and vendor master data etc.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
· Good financial statutory accounting knowledge.
· Accounting taxation & taxation laws.
· 3 to 5 years of work experience in financial accounting and taxation role.
· Systematic, independent and organised way of working and a positive attitude.
· Strong teamwork and good communication skills, including written and spoken English.
· Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field is a must.
· If you are familiar with SAP, it is seen as an added advantage.
