Job Description
You will be part of the Product Management team. The team works closely with key business and enabler functions on driving initiatives. We aim to enable business opportunities, improve processes and support the organization growth. You will gain exposure to a variety of complex projects within the organization across different departments.
The functional analyst for Back office, Prime Brokerage and Leverage Product operations will play a key role in analysing; optimizing and overseeing the business processes that support our prime brokerage operations, listed derivatives and OTC leveraged products such as SWAP, CFDs and FX. The ideal candidate will leverage their analytical skills and technical knowledge to drive efficiencies, implement new systems and ensure smooth operational workflows across these domains.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects focused on back office, prime brokerage operations and products improvements, from initiation to completion
- Lead discussion with stakeholders to understand functional objectives and gather detailed requirements. Analyse existing or propose new workflows and processes for implementations.
- Understanding and gathering requirements from Business/Sales/Dealing Desk on new products, services and bespoke handling.
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including functional and technical specifications, test plans, data dictionaries and user guides.
- Communication of requirements to development team and technology support team, to ensure solutions are within user expectations and delivered on time.
- Performing impact assessment for requested changes, collaborate with development team to prioritize and implement system enhancements and bug fixes.
- Developing and enforcing project governance for various initiatives and ensuring consistent communication with stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing support to prime brokerage operations teams, including issue resolution, system troubleshooting, and user training.
- Participate in audits and regulatory examinations as needed.
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 7 years of hands on experience with business analysis in Financial Services, Change Management or related areas.
- Proven experience as a Functional Analyst in the financial services industry, with specific experience in prime brokerage preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial products and back office process (Brokerage business is a plus).
- Solid knowledge of financial markets, trading workflows, and regulatory frameworks
- Project management experience and proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) preferred.
- Experience coordinating projects across multiple team and functional areas.
- Ability to communicate at detailed levels to development teams and users and executive updates to senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to analyse data sets and connect to an overall solution. Proactively identify trends or issues.
- Ability to work within an environment with high pressure on timeliness and quality of deliveries, both independently and with a team.
