JOB DESCRIPTION
- Responsible for the proper loading and unloading of Company’s products in accordance to the Company’s guidelines, rules and regulations
- Perform transportation duties as deployed by the supervisor and carry out the duties diligently as per instructed.
- Adhere to schedule of catering delivery orders and collection to island wide places
- Coordinate with salesperson on customer’s order before delivery
- Ensure the timely delivery of product to each destination, plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Inventory control for catering equipment used for upon collection of order
- Maintaining cleanliness and provide basic service for assigned delivery vehicle
- Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Comply with driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients customers
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Understanding with and complying with the mandatory hygiene standards and requirements
- Assist in the management of the day to day operations and other job duties and responsibilities as assigned by Company
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Min 4 years of experience in related industry
- Must have a valid class 4 driver's license with clean driving record; Company’s vehicle is not allowed to drive home
- Must be able to work long hours, flexibility to work weekends and Public Holidays if required with prolonged period of standing (strictly off day on weekdays)
- Required to work in hot and humid working environment
- Must have ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (eg. at rush hour)
- Field work required. Need to do assist with delivery if off / medical leave or urgency of goods when required
- Physicall Fit. Able to withstand loading/unloading of bulky goods for extended period.
- Knowledge of GPS equipment; knowledge of DOT regulations, preferred
- Capabilities of delivery route planning
