The Accounts Executive reports to the Managing Director and dotted line to the Group Accountant to support the Accounts Team in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. He / She covers duties such as work that is specific to accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax filing, data compilation, billing, payroll or other accounting tasks. He / She works specifically with accruals, fixed assets accounting or the monthly and yearly finalisation of accounts for audit purposes. He / She assists with the preparation of trial balance, basic financial statements and consolidated financial statements. He / She may be called on to participate in ad-hoc finance-related projects and systems testing when necessary.
Role & Responsibility
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
· Responsible for the overall account and admin aspect of two (02) entities:
o Hong Dong Ship Solutions Pte Ltd
o Singapore Marine Logistics Pte Ltd
· To handle full set of accounts up to Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Accounts.
· To handle the day to day accounting activities.
· To prepare monthly bank and AP & AR reconciliations
· Prepare finance report for management review.
· Ensure timely completeness in accounting closing and accuracy in accounting reports.
· Monitors cash flow position.
· Prepare GST Returns and Submissions.
· Handle audit and tax filling and liaison with auditor and tax agent.
· Prepare payroll included CPF, and Income Tax.
· General administrative duties or any other ad-hoc duties when assigned
Qualifications and experience:
· Diploma / Professional qualification in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent.
· At least 3 years of full set of accounts hands-on experience.
· Knowledge in AUTOCOUNT will be advantageous
· Detail-orientated and able to multi-tasks.
