Purpose
To independently determine and prepare the Requisitions for packages of mechanical components and/equipment that are required in a project. Assist in evaluating the technical aspects of bids and executing in order to deliver the packages on time. Ensure that the packages meet the technical requirements.
Scope
- Understand the specifications and requirements in the area of mechanical static equipment and components (such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers (shell & tube, plate and frame types), separators, process and utility pressure vessels, etc.) of the assigned package.
- Responsible for Mechanical Design of Static Equipment in compliance with International Codes ASME Sec VIII Div-1, Div-2, EN-13445 and equivalent
- Independently develops technical specifications/standards and requisitions for rotating equipment such as centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pump, air and utility compressor, steam/gas turbines, etc.
- Independently developed technical specification/standards and requisitions for static equipment such as pressure vessels, separators, process vessels, heat exchanges, air coolers, etc
- Assist in placing and executing the orders. After orders, independently review supplier documents ( such as data sheets, drawings) for their completeness, accuracy and compliance. Being the focal point, liaises and coordinates with various stakeholders.
- Provides technical/engineering support/visit and advice for quality work at supplier shop and construction/commissioning work at site.
- Independently resolves technical issues using expert knowledge and technical know that may arise during the execution of package engineering, fabrication and post delivery.
- To ensure business activities and decisions to the laws and regulations and demonstrates high standard of ethical behaviour.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience in mechanical engineering in oil and gas sector
- FPSO offshore application is preferred
- Possess relevant experience working on EPC projects
- Shall be conversed with design standards and international industry codes such as ASME, API, ACE, WRC, etc
- Intermediate AutoCAD, Advanced PV Elite, Compress, Nozzle Pro and equivalent.
