Job Description
- Implement and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track the available stock of materials in the warehouse.
- Analyse and assess areas of improvement within the WMS as well as workflows of the department.
- Organize the warehouse in a way that facilitates efficient picking and storage practices.
- To ensure proper processes are implemented when receiving and issuing goods.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and client to ensure seamless movement of goods.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and organization of goods in the warehouse.
- Implement measures to prevent damage to goods during storage and handling.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage to maximize space utilization.
- Implement effective storage system to facilitate efficient storage and proper handlings of goods.
- Coordinate with Logistics and site teams to ensure a smooth flow and timely delivery of materials to-and-fro the warehouse and project site.
- Monitor and track the movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to inventory, transactions, and warehouse operations. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations.
- Enforce safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' relevant work experience.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management.
- Relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse software.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
