Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the full spectrum of Engineering, M&E of the Company which includes but not limited to strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting, timely preparation and cost control
- To support M&E issue on site and ensure M&E works are perform timely, within budget and in compliance with all necessary standards, code of practice and safety regulations
- To support method statements, shop-drawings, installation checklist, work progress report and jointly hold technical meetings with stakeholders to resolve technical matters
- To determine necessary data analysis procedures, manage information gathering process, support monthly, quarterly or annual reports depending on project requirements
- To maintain close collaboration with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers and all stakeholders to minimise errors in the process to achieve a smooth and on-time completion of the projects.
- Provide ongoing training or coaching to field staff in monitoring and evaluating processes
- To participate in supporting work on all evaluation findings and project results to HQ Tokyo in Japan on regular basis
- Handle any other ad-hoc duties and tasks assigned
Requirements:
- Masters/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
- Minimum 9 years of relevant working experience within the Construction industry for building works
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong knowledge of M&E details, working drawings and shop drawings
- Fluency in spoken and written Japanese is necessary as the incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate with counterparts in Japan, Tokyo Head Office including monthly accounts progress reports
- Capable of translating reports from English to Japanese or vice versa
- Good supervisory and time management skills
