DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees import and export functions
- Prepare shipping documents such as shipping invoice, credit note, packing list, delivery order, certificate of origin, etc
- Liaise with the bank on letter of credit negotiation and document against payment
- Liaise with freight forwarder on cargo space and shipment arrangement
- Ensure documents such as bill of lading draft, fumigation certificate, and customs declaration certificate are received from the freight forwarder
- Liaise with insurance agent on insurance coverage
- Coordinate with warehouse and other departments to ensure timely delivery
- Perform accurate receiving of material into ERP system and ensure proper documentation
- Update customer on shipping document and arrangement
- Monitor and follow up on shipment status
- Advise and provide freight cost to sales department
- Monitor shipping costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality
- Generate shipping report
- Check LC compliance, request LC amendment if needed
- Preparation of export documents in accordance with LC requirements / Customer’s requirement / DA / thru Bank
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and experience:
- At least Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in shipping function, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of import/export regulations and customs procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Fluency in Chinese; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
