We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to help set strategy and manage execution of ideas across various social media platforms of Lianhe Zaobao.
You should be well-versed in the latest social media trends and analytic tools, familiar with social video production and the various platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, and possess a strong command of both Chinese and English. You are required to:
- Build an overall social management strategy through competitive and audience research for platforms under zaobao.sg brand, and work with the newsroom to see through its execution
- Follow and deploy social media best practices
- Educate producers and editors in social management know-hows and techniques necessary to manage accounts
- Facilitate the building of platform-specific templates to increase efficiency in social content production
- Monitor and analyse social media data to provide insights and recommendations for improvement
- Build and grow relationship/engagement with social media audiences
- Curate and/or produce social-centric content, including, but not limited to social videos
Requirements
- Degree in relevant field of study; at least 2 years of relevant experience in social media management and social marketing preferred
- Proficient in Chinese and English, both written and spoken, as this role supports a Chinese publication
- Knowledge in social media analytics tools e.g. Google Analytics, CrowdTangle
- Passionate about current affairs and social media
- Familiarity with Chinese social media platforms such as WeChat would be advantageous
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with various stakeholders
