The DPA / CSO / EMR will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and compliance of our fleet operations. This position demands a professional with a deep understanding of maritime regulations, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong commitment to upholding our company's standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety and security matters for the fleet.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on vessels.
- Develop and implement safety and security procedures and protocols.
- Investigate and report incidents and accidents, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Provide training and support to shipboard personnel on safety and security practices.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry organizations on safety and security matters.
- Monitor and update the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and Ship Security Plans (SSP).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the maritime industry.
- In-depth knowledge of ISM Code, ISPS Code, and other relevant maritime regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle emergency situations.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Relevant maritime certifications (e.g., DPA certification, CSO certification).
