Responsibilities:

  • Lead terminal management team consisting of Operations, Maintenance and Projects teams
  • Accountable for all activities in the terminal and this includes technical projects and its execution, to ensure they are within budgets, allocated time frame and in compliance with Vopak standards and regulatory
  • Drive pro-active service and safety culture in the terminal
  • Maintain high standards of terminal housekeeping, equipment and facilities
  • Responsible for ensuring customer expectations and delivery are delivered and met with service excellence
  • Manage terminal operating / capex budgeting, scoping and implementation
  • Optimize terminal efficiency to drive productivity
  • Develop Terminal Master Plan, encompassing technical projects, for future business needs
  • Lead and ensure execution of the terminal Master Plan
  • Responsible for driving compliance with regulatory and company standards in the terminals
  • Responsible for driving continuous process improvements in the terminal
  • Drive continuous improvements initiatives through innovation and value creation that aligns with the values of the company
  • Build strong stakeholder relationship both internally and externally, including any government bodies, local authorities and contractors
  • Lead, manage and develop next level managers in the terminals
  • Develop a succession pipeline in the terminal operations leadership team, including projects and the technical teams
  • Responsible for providing leadership to ensure the safe and timely execution of all technical projects are in adherence to Vopak standards and policies

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • At least 8 years experience in similar role and industry
  • Strong and sound knowledge of operations, safety, product (Oil, Chemicals and Gases) and domain technical knowledge
  • Possess business acumen and demonstrate awareness of underlying customer needs and prevailing industry/market trends and practices
  • Possess depth and breadth of general managerial experience
  • Demonstrate leadership and people management of large teams
  • Demonstrate Strategic Thinking and project management skills
  • Strong network and stakeholder relationship and management skills
  • Strong planning, organizing and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
