Market Scope: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand Local Markets
- L Beauty: Joint Venture between LVMH (French group) and LUXASIA (Singaporean group) in charge of the distribution of Guerlain Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam
- PT Guerlain Cosmetics Indonesia: Joint Venture between LVMH (French group) and PT Aura (Indonesia company) in charge of Guerlain distribution in Indonesia
- Cosmax: Agent in charge of Guerlain distribution in Australia and New Zealand
Guerlain SEA-OC Regional Business Controller will support the Brand in all financial aspects including set-up & improvement of all appropriate analysis for a brand-new scope, monthly management reporting, budgets, and all ad-hoc arising finance-related needs, while constantly enhancing the level of business monitoring by developing relationships with all members of the organization and adapting to the business environment. She/he will also ensure best practices and coherent financial processes across, making recommendations and implementing as appropriate.
The Regional Controller will take part in and will challenge key business decisions using relevant reporting & analysis, and presenting data in a commercial way in order to optimize efficiency of activities and costs. She/he will be the key finance & business partner to the Regional Brand General Manager.
Main Responsibilities
1. Guerlain brand and subsidiaries key contact for SEA-OC local markets business activities
- Define appropriate analysis to be set-up for SEA, in coordination with business needs, existing JV frame, Agents and HQ requirements
- Share actual and budget activities with all stakeholders (region/local/JV)
- Guide and support the regional and local teams on the business analysis (local reports, specific HQ reports…)
2. Actuals
- Work closely with regional, local, JV & HQ teams and develop excellent knowledge of Guerlain SEA-OC local markets operating environments
- Analyze the overall delivery of company financial targets on a regular basis and report back to the business with recommendations as necessary
- Evaluate profitability of the brand
- Analyze the profitability by customer and by subsidiary in accordance with brand management needs
- Analyze the business risk and preparation of back-up plan for business target achievement
- Check and analyze monthly P&Ls, and prepare the monthly consolidated package
- Handle local reports requested by the regional and HQ teams
3. Forecasts (Budget, Revision, Landing, …)
- Prepare budget and revisions in accordance with HQ requirements and timetable
- Maintain cost control responsibility; provide relevant reports and rationale, with recommended action plans to the business for tight budget control
- Support the brand in preparing the 3 years plan
4. Ad hoc Analysis & Business KPI Reporting
- Prepare/review the investments requests
- Drive and prepare business analysis to support the various business functions (Marketing, Retail..) in terms of ROI relations
- Provide analytical support to cross-function initiatives and ad hoc projects, such as Boutique performance analysis, Investments ROI etc
5. Projects
- Continually seek to improve processing efficiency and controlling capabilities of the company
- Participate in the implementation of finance / IT projects for the controlling functions
- Reinforce internal control requirements and implement procedures as necessary
- Be a key contact person with Countries/L Beauty/LUXASIA, Indonesia JV Finance controller and the LFCS audit team to drive the retail audits process

Profile
- Business Administration degree or Accounting major/Business school
- Strong experience in a financial position within an international group
- A minimum of 5-7 years of controlling experience. Strong knowledge of accounting needed.
