Job Description:
- Systems Management: Ensure effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
- Technical Research and Development: Participate in technical research and development to foster ongoing innovation within the infrastructure.
- Compliance and Enablement: Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, supporting staff, volunteers, and partners.
- Systems Accountability: Responsible for managing the following systems:
- Operating Systems: Linux, Windows, UNIX (AIX and Solaris), Virtualization systems.
- Middleware: WebSphere Application Servers, WebSphere Message Queue.
- Backup Software: Veritas NetBackup, Tivoli Storage Manager, which support the IT infrastructure.
- Operations and Innovation: Oversee operations and support, maintenance, and research and development for these systems to ensure continuous innovation.
Requirements:
- Recognised degree with a technical major such as engineering, data communications or computer science.
- Diploma holders with relevant experience and expertise will be considered;
- System Engineer certification in Unix and/or Microsoft including Virtualization and Cloud;
- Minimum 2 years system administration experience; and
- Knowledge and experience in Unix scripting, Vmware Virtualization, Cloud and Middleware.
