About the role
Corporate Internal Audit, Singapore Hub, is responsible for internal audits and risk management in China, North Asia & Oceania (CNAO) and Asia & Middle East (AME) Zones of Danone. The combined zones have a net sales exceeding € 5 b, in around twenty countries. The audit activities in the zone includes conducting audits within Danone’s risk assessment framework, report critical risks and deviations from corporate framework with a view to manage overall financial and operational risks of Danone. The role will require engagement with external auditors and management teams with the goal to add value to the local businesses by making clear recommendations and feedback to improve the business processes and controls.
The Primary purpose of the role would be to
- Deliver audit plan of the Singapore Hub using strong data analytics, audit techniques and business knowledge
- Work towards achieving standardisation of audit methodologies across the global team
- Focus on new ideas and techniques used in the new remote based audit world
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for financial and operational audits of the companies in the Group with attention to internal controls, compliance with corporate policies and financial statements
- Monitor implementation of audit findings with the local management and update the follow-up report for management
- Schedule, plan and co-ordinate the execution of Internal audits according to the annual audit plan including managing audits at business locations
- Perform business audits including process
reviews, evaluation of the business and financial controls, policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other functions for general process improvements recommendation and share good practices to local management
- Use data & analytics to analyze and evaluate internal controls in various processes
- Strive for continuous improvements of audit program, work process and audit team
The following technical skills and experience:
- Accounting, Finance or Business Studies degree (professional qualification will be preferred)
- At least 5-7 years of progressive internal or external auditing experience, preferably with Big 4 audit firm experiences and FMCG environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to influence and connect with different levels of employees, including the senior management and local staff
- Knowledge of SAP and auditing in computerized systems with data analytics tools
- Willingness to travel extensively (25%) in Asia Pacific, China & Middle East
