We are representing our client in Trading industry to hire for a Commodities Trader.
Job Description:
- Lead trading activities with a thorough understanding of bulk commodity trading, including spot, futures, and supply chain trade financing. Manage the entire bulk procurement chain, funding, logistics, and sales.
- Familiar with international markets, especially Southeast Asia. Develop and implement trading policies, business plans, and budgets to meet targets.
- Handle negotiations and contracts for significant trade projects. Oversee the execution of business contracts. Primary products include chemicals and non-ferrous metals, with a focus on partnerships with central enterprises, SOEs, large private enterprises, and listed companies.
- Proficient in various financing models and capable of designing product structures. Independently manage trade financing and build relationships with financial institutions to expand channels.
- Track industry trends and explore innovative business models leveraging resource advantages.
- Stay informed about global market changes and respond proactively. Identify and develop business opportunities using the Group's strengths in strategic alliances, investments, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Assist with bank credit, factoring facilities, and other trade-related financing to support structural financing needs.
Requirements:
- Degree or higher in finance, economics, international trade, or related fields.
Experience:
- At least 8 years in the commodities sector with substantial industry resources.
- Fluency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking counterparts.
- Proven record in sourcing, trading, and marketing Chemicals, Oil Products, Metals, and agricultural products in Singapore.
- Strong understanding of global supply chains, commodity grades and markets, and economic factors affecting commodity movement.
- Knowledge of commodities operations, including production, processing, storage, transportation, port facilities, shipping, and financing.
- Experience working with senior management in international trading.
- Strong compliance and risk awareness, communication and negotiation skills, leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and ability to work under pressure. Willingness to travel if necessary.
