My client, a leading financial institution is seeking a proactive and experienced Operational Risk Manager to oversee Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring our operations remain resilient and compliant in the rapidly evolving banking landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust BCM frameworks and strategies tailored to digital banking operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical processes and develop continuity plans.
- Coordinate testing and simulation exercises to validate BCM plans and ensure readiness for disruptions.
- Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on BCM best practices and response protocols.
- Lead RCSA activities across various business units, assessing operational risks and controls.
- Collaborate with teams to identify and evaluate risks, ensuring comprehensive coverage of key risk indicators.
- Monitor and report on RCSA findings, recommending improvements to mitigate identified risks.
- Drive a culture of risk awareness and accountability through effective communication and training.
- Support the development and maintenance of operational risk policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and scenario analyses to identify emerging risks and trends.
- Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and control metrics, escalating issues as necessary.
- Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and other departments to ensure alignment on risk management practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience (5-7 years) in operational risk management within the financial services sector, preferably in digital banking.
- Strong understanding of BCM frameworks, including crisis management and disaster recovery planning.
- Expertise in conducting RCSA processes, with a focus on identifying and mitigating operational risks.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across various levels of the organization.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CRCMP, CBCP, CISA) are a plus.
