The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a range of goods. The role includes managing warehouse staff, processes, and systems, and ensuring productivity targets are met. Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
Ensure efficient and accurate inventory management, including stock control and conducting regular inventory audits.
Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to improve efficiency and safety.
Staff Management:
Lead, coach, and manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and scheduling.
Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and ensuring staff adherence to company policies.
Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Work with suppliers, transport companies, and customers to streamline logistics processes and resolve any issues.
Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve service levels.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
Conduct safety training and enforce adherence to safety protocols.
Investigate and report any workplace accidents or incidents.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Customer Service:
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality control and timely delivery.
Address and resolve customer complaints and inquiries related to logistics and warehouse operations.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Diploma in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, or a similar role.
Proven experience in supervising and managing staff.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
