GOWell Technology Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced and proficient Procurement Engineer to manage the sourcing and procurement of electronic components. The ideal candidate will have experience in the oil and gas industry and demonstrate strong sourcing skills and superior negotiation abilities to secure high-quality components with reliable lead times.
Role and Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Procurement:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electronic components used in high temperature down hole tools
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings in terms of quality, price, and reliability.
- Issue purchase orders and manage RFQ processes to ensure timely acquisition of materials.
- Conduct competitive bidding to secure the best quality, delivery, and price for goods and services.
- Analyze and resolve discrepancies between Goods Receipt and Invoice Receipt.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a stable supply of components.
- Regularly evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
- Address and resolve issues related to supplier performance.
Cost Management and Optimization:
- Monitor market trends to anticipate price changes and material availability.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate to decrease expenses.
- Ensure procurement activities align with budgetary constraints and company financial goals.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed procurement records, including contracts and communications with suppliers.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, including engineering, production, and quality teams to understand their procurement needs.
- Facilitate cross-departmental communications to align procurement strategies with company objectives.
Skills and Experiences:
- Proven experience in procurement, particularly in the electronics components in downhole tools.
- Strong negotiation and strategic sourcing skills.
- Excellent analytical skills for effective decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage supplier relationships and internal stakeholder expectations.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or a related field, with a preference for candidates with oil and gas industry experience.
- Advanced procurement certifications such as CPM or CPSM are desirable.
