Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for tanker fleet management.
- Execute cost reduction strategies to optimize procurement processes.
Docking, Repair, and Maintenance Procurement:
- Manage and consolidate purchases related to docking, repairs, and maintenance of tankers.
- Ensure the efficient and timely procurement of goods and services
Supplier Management:
- Identify, vet, and manage suppliers to meet tanker-specific needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, manage supplier risks, and negotiate terms.
- Coordinate with external service providers for technical services, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- Ensure on-time delivery of materials from suppliers while meeting quality requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and suggest improvements.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and manage costs for tanker-specific parts and supplies.
- Ensure efficient tracking and availability of necessary inventory.
Price Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Delivery, Coordination and Scheduling:
- Perform daily operational purchasing tasks and coordinate shipping documentation, logistics, and schedules.
- Oversee planning and timing of class surveys and inspections to ensure compliance while minimizing disruptions.
Communication and Project Support:
- Support effective communication between teams and external parties.
- Assist in managing projects, ensuring clear communication and timely progress.
Budget Management for Fleet Operations:
- Manage budgets for procurement needs, including repair and maintenance costs.
- Assist in technical budget management and ensure cost efficiency.
- Implement strategies for cost reduction and financial efficiency.
Team Development:
- Mentor and develop the purchasing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to regulations and effective reporting of procurement activities.
- Maintain up-to-date compliance documentation and records.
Leadership and Management Skills:
- Demonstrate effective leadership and decision-making skills.
- Collaborate with internal teams and departments to address significant vessel issues.
- Manage performance and maintain a talent pool within the team.
Change Leadership and Management:

Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Business Administration, Office Administration, or related fields.
Experience:
- 1-2 years in administration or similar role, preferably within the marine industry.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Effective interpersonal skills, capable of working within a team and across organizational levels.
