Role:
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Prepare reports on work completed while on-site.
- Possess familiarity with working environments on deep sea vessels.
- Independently perform the following tasks:
- Test, repair, install, and inspect marine electronics equipment.
This equipment includes: - Marine GMDSS Radio System
- Voyage Data Recorder (VDR)
- Gyrocompass
- Autopilot System
- VSAT Ship Terminal
- ECDIS System
- Radar System
- Speed Log Equipment
- Echosounder Equipment
- Transmitting Magnetic Compass System (TMC)
- Any other related ship electronics products
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Radio & Telecommunications (required)
- Classification Approved Surveyor for GMDSS Radio Survey & VDR APT (preferred) – List any classifications held if applicable.
- VDR training certificates from any VDR manufacturers (preferred) – List any makers if applicable.
- General Operator Certificate (GOC) preferred for GMDSS use.
- Relevant training certificates from Marine Radio & Navigational Equipment Makers (preferred) – List any makers if applicable.
- 12 years of relevant experience required.
