Position Overview: As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will lead the design efforts for both hardware and software interfaces, bringing a deep understanding of user-centric design principles to each component of our products. Your role will be instrumental in shaping intuitive, visually appealing, and functional user experiences across diverse platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Hardware Design: Develop user interfaces for hardware components, considering ergonomic principles, physical constraints, and user interaction patterns unique to hardware devices.
2. Software UI/UX Design: Design intuitive and responsive interfaces for software applications, ensuring usability, accessibility, and seamless integration with our hardware products.
3. Prototyping: Create interactive prototypes for both hardware and software designs to validate concepts, gather feedback, and iterate on designs effectively.
4. User Research: Conduct user research, usability testing, and analysis to understand user needs and behaviors, applying insights to enhance design solutions.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, hardware engineers, software developers, and industrial designers to align design goals with technical requirements and business objectives.
6. Design Systems: Establish and maintain design systems and guidelines that promote consistency and scalability across hardware and software interfaces.
7. Documentation: Produce detailed design specifications, user flow diagrams, and documentation to guide development teams and ensure implementation aligns with design intent.
8. Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI/UX design, contributing to the continuous improvement of our products and processes.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in UI/UX design with a proven track record in hardware UI design (e.g., touchscreens, physical controls) and software UI/UX design (e.g., mobile apps, desktop applications).
• Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc. Experience with prototyping tools and familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript) are advantageous.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design concepts, rationale, and usability findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
