Project Management Cum Operations Manager (IT Solutions / Business Analytics)

Managing Projects

  • Manage the implementation and delivery of existing and new projects.
  • Ensure project tasks are monitored, tracked and completed on time, and also in liaison with the customer on potential timeline and deliverable changes etc.
  • Manage internal team members and external partners when required as part of a project team and work process.
  • Undertake and be responsible for the commercial P&L of the projects.
  • Manage the project scope definition and change control mechanism. Negotiate with customers on change request effort, schedules and prioritize changes based on business needs.
  • Manage project activities to ensure timely delivery, including identification of critical path and risk, monitoring and driving completion of interdependent activities and adjustment to project schedules to achieve overall completion deadline
  • Review and prepare project documentation to ensure that it meets customer’s requirement and conforms to the quality management process (i.e. project management plan, maintenance plan, monthly progress report, technical specification etc), standards and procedures.
  • Manage incidents and ensure issues are resolve promptly according to Service Level Agreement.
  • Define project resources, performance reviews, and post-implementation evaluations to follow-up and close outstanding audit findings.

This role plays a crucial role in supporting the operational and administrative functions of the business as well. This position involves overseeing and coordinating various operational activities to ensure efficiency and smooth functioning within the division.

Managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs):

  • Prepare and track SLAs to ensure they remain valid and up-to-date.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on financial and operational matters.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Perform cost analysis across various products and projects.
  • Track and monitor financials for products and projects.
  • Ensure timely submission of billing templates and reports to the finance department.

Budgeting and Pricing:

  • Lead the bi-annual budgeting cycle and manage annual budget tracking within Standard Products and Projects.
  • Develop pricing models for products and services.
  • Collate inputs, analyze budget submissions, and present budgeting decks for approval.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Communicate with agencies on financial queries related to projects.
  • Work with internal stakeholders on financial aspects of business operations.
  • Collaborate with the Workflow team on invoicing, Purchase Orders, and vendor liaison.
  • Develop a holistic business understanding and manage stakeholder relationships including HR, hiring managers, and external partners.

Process Improvement:

  • Streamline financial processes within the division to enhance efficiency.
  • Address operational issues and billing matters with the finance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Project Management.
  • Background knowledge of IT/BI.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in operational, administrative and Finance roles.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in project management and operational management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and coordinate operational activities
  • Familiarity with analyzing operational data and metrics to derive insights and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and documentation related to operational activities.
  • Experience in handling Government Projects / Business Intelligence / Analytics projects.
  • Certifications such as PMP, CITPM, ITIL or equivalent would be an advantage.
  • Good people management and communications skills.
  • Track records of managing successful delivery and implementation of IT projects.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentations and communication skills.
