Job Posting: IT Engineer
Work Location: Tuas South
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide In-house IT and network support including system installation, configuration, upgrading and troubleshooting.
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments on systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
- Ensure system readiness through routine maintenance tasks such data backup, software updates and system monitoring
- Manage windows servers, Active directory, File servers. Creating user accounts in AD, Providing permission for the users from the file server.
- Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measure.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network problems.
- Procurement and managing of IT assets.
- Setting up all the IT requirements which includes PC, Copier Machines, required software and the applications pertaining to the respective department.
- Email configuration – creating email IDs for the new staffs, taking backup of the outlook files, adding additional email accounts if requested by the staff and approved by the HOD.
- Setting up the CCTVs in particular location as per the requirement of management.
- Scheduling meetings and setting up the meeting room.
- Liaise with external outsourcing company.
- Involve in additional tasks as per the requirement from the reporting authority.
- Documentation of all the IT assets, user information, phone lines, data lines and software licenses and maintenance.
- Tracking of unusual file activities like access attempts in non-business hours, high volume of file deletion etc. using file auditing software.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
- Possess advanced understanding of operation systems, business applications, printing systems and network systems.
- Experience in supporting OS platforms such as the latest version of windows and Microsoft office applications.
- Able to perform diagnosis skills of technical issues.
- Able to multi-task and able to work independently.
- At least 1 year of working experience in the related field.
- Ability to attend or work at any other premises RVD currently has.
