SmartStream is looking for an Account Manager responsible for the retention and growth of client accounts in APAC.

This individual will work closely with the Head of Account Management to develop and implement strategies that drive revenue growth, increase customer satisfaction, and improve overall customer experience.

This person will prioritise key accounts, develop large account management plans and work with multifunctional teams at Smartstream to ensure clients maximise their investment in our technology.



Job Responsibilities


SmartStream is looking for an Account Manager responsible for the retention and growth of client accounts in APAC.
This individual will work closely with the Head of Account Management to develop and implement strategies that drive revenue growth, increase customer satisfaction, and improve overall customer experience.
This person will prioritise key accounts, develop large account management plans and work with multifunctional teams at Smartstream to ensure clients maximise their investment in our technology. This role will need to interface with:


Sales executives, presales and regional managers,
Product Managers, PS, Support, Delivery engagement,
Managed services and OnDemand
SPO,
Commercial review and finance
External strategic partners
This is role will be focused on retaining existing accounts but also greatly improving adoption of our other SmartStream solutions within the APAC client base.


The role reports into the Head of Account Management.


Description and responsibilities:
Develop and nurture strong relationships with assigned clients in Asia.
Understand client objectives, challenges, and goals to provide personalized support and solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, product development, and customer support, to ensure client success and satisfaction.
Proactively identify and address client concerns, anticipating and mitigating potential issues.
Advocate for client feedback, working with the company to implement improvements and new features.
Stay current with industry trends and developments to offer informed insights and recommendations to clients.
Provide training and onboarding for new clients, ensuring they are proficient in using our technology.
Manage client accounts, including contract renewals, billing, and revenue growth.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and activities in the CRM system.
Maintain comprehensive account management plans and information on your clients commercial and contractual status.
Regularly assess and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate value and ROI to clients.
Contribute to the company's mission of delivering exceptional technology solutions and services.



Key Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive “self-starter” approach.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the region.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages a plus).
  • Ability to think strategically and develop customized solutions that align with the client's needs.


Desirable Skills

  • Some competency with product management for project delivery and maintaining and developing technical roadmaps.
  • Able to communicate technical concepts when it comes to technical upgrades, migrations and cloud technology.
  • Some experience selling BPO and managed services offerings.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years proven experience in account management or a related role within the financial technology industry.


Experience

  • 5+ years proven experience in account management or a related role within the financial technology industry.
  • Experience working in financial services/Technology sector.
  • Experienced working with multifunctional teams to deliver enterprise software engagements.
  • Experience working with on premise and cloud technologies
