- Conceptualize, develop, and execute new Ready-to-Eat Meats products that meet consumer needs and align with market trends.
- Lead the entire product development process, from ideation and formulation to testing, optimization, and launch.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure successful product launches.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and consumer preferences to identify new product opportunities.
Application Chef Expertise:
- Utilize culinary expertise to create innovative and flavourful Ready-to-Eat products.
- Develop recipes and formulations that meet Chee Song Foods' quality standards and nutritional guidelines.
- Conduct cooking demonstrations and presentations to showcase product applications and versatility.
Product Costing:
- Conduct thorough product costing analysis for mass production, taking into account raw materials, labor, packaging, and other relevant expenses.
- Develop cost-effective formulations and processes to optimize profitability without compromising quality.
Food Safety & Quality:
- Ensure compliance with FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) standards throughout the product development process.
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure product safety, consistency, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, preferably within the food manufacturing industry and Experience working in a central kitchen environment
- Proven track record of successful product launches in the Ready-to-Eat Product category.
- Strong experience in product costing and financial analysis for mass production.
- Demonstrated expertise in FSSC 22000 implementation and compliance.
- Excellent culinary skills and a passion for food innovation.
- Strong understanding of food science principles, ingredients, and processing techniques.
- Proficient in product costing methodologies and financial modelling.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
