Job Responsibilities:
- Provide in-depth research on agricultural products, S&D of Palm Oil/SBO, and develop and refine models to support dynamic business needs and respond to market changes.
- Manage and enhance data systems using advanced statistical software to support analysis and model development and extract trading strategies.
- Collaborate with traders in weekly strategy meetings to formulate market views and trading ideas based on refined data analysis.
- Collaborate with trading teams to identify strategic opportunities and explore new financial products as required.
- Identify market conditions and prepare daily and ad-hoc analysis on global market conditions, integrating market intelligence research report.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Job Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in a highly numerate subject, such as Applied Finance, Financial Derivatives, Statistics etc.
- Minimum of 3 years of market risks experience in agricuture products; with good trading records and understanding of the commodity market experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of agriculture commodity trading and risk management.
- Proficient in English communication and writing; understanding of Bahasa will be an added advantage to enhance collaboration and understanding with international partners/ suppliers.
- Ability to read, write and converse in Chinese is essential as to liaise with our headquaters in China.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and exceptional customer service skills.
- High interest in and enthusiastic about economic and financial market trends.
