The Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI) is seeking a highly qualified individual to take on a significant role in a rapidly expanding research group.
The selected candidate will be offered a full-time Research Engineer position (2 years contract) at Singapore National Eye Centre/Singapore Eye Research Institute. The project is in collaboration between Singapore National Eye Centre and Singapore Institute of Technology. The candidate will also pursue a Master of Engineering (by Research) at the Singapore Institute of Technology on the same project. Full tuition fee support will be provided for the Master Engineering Degree programme.
Title of the Project: SSVEP-based Brain Computer Interface for Automated Diagnosis and Monitoring of Glaucoma
In this project, the candidate will develop an SSVEP-based Brain Computer Interface (BCI) for automated diagnosis and monitoring of retinal and optic nerve diseases including glaucoma. The key areas are digital signal processing, machine learning and AI.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Technology / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering from reputed Universities/Institutes with a very good CGPA (at least 7.5 out of 10)
- Applicants should have taken Digital Signal Processing course for B.Tech / B.Engg.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning is highly desirable.
- Applicants with research experience (including undergraduate research) are preferred.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Team player.
- Willing to conduct biomedical engineering experiments on patients in a hospital environment (ophthalmology department).
Note: Remuneration Package will commensurate with qualifications and working experiences.
