Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the coordination of vessel operations, including loading and discharging of cargo.
- Communicate with port authorities, agents, and service providers to ensure timely and efficient operations.
- Monitor and track vessel movements and schedules.
- Prepare and review operational documentation, including bills of lading, stowage plans, and manifests.
- Assist in voyage planning.
- Handle day-to-day operational issues and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records and databases related to vessel operations.
- Support the Operations Manager in managing operational budgets and controlling costs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, international regulations, and safety standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping operations, preferably in the dry bulk sector.
- Familiarity with maritime regulations and port operations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese-speaking internal and external personnel.
