The Institute for Digital Molecular Analytics and Science (IDMxS) invites applications for the position of Research Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform research and development activities in the field of bioengineering, including lab automation, microfluidics, molecular biology, to innovate and improve on existing detection methods and protocols
- Support research groups and personnel in developing, implementing and documenting protocols
- Perform procurement, inventorization and training for designated lab instruments/devices and their accessories
- Assist in general lab duties, including lab safety, administration, inventories
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors with honours, in bioengineering or relevant field
- Demonstratable skills in 3D printing, Python coding and open source fluidics/automated liquid handling
- Experience in microbiology and molecular biology research
