Responsibilities
- Evaluate & shortlist suppliers & products, ensuring approved purchases are cost efficient and of high quality
- Manage delivery control to ensure order fulfilment and timely deliveries
- Handles daily purchasing activities which includes sourcing, liaising, price and contract negotiation with existing and new suppliers/vendors
- Coordinating with project staffs to determine & manage inventory needs
- Coordinating incoming shipments as & when necessary
- Raise POs/DOs/issuing invoices/progress claims/verifying payments
- Prepare cost estimates and manage project budgets
- Maintain supplier database, purchase records and related documentation
- Other project-related tasks/duties as deemed necessary
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Business Administration or relevant industry
- Min. 3 years of procurement experience preferably in Construction/Engineering industry
- Good knowledge of project management principles
- Proven negotiation skills & have a strategic mindset with a hands-on attitude
- Must have uncompromised integrity and good business ethics
- Knowledge of SAP will be advantageous
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to converse in both English & preferably Mandarin as required to liaise with Mandarin speaking subcons/vendors
- Singaporean or Singapore PR preferred
