Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and be capable of working on various projects, including framing, finishing and cabinetry. The carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard, as well as performing other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials to construct structures and fixtures.
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, and moldings.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals and tradespeople.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment.
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
