The IT Manager role is primarily focused on the support of the IT infrastructure, applications and leading a support team. You will also be actively involved with the local office database systems, Information Security and routine Information Security needs which will require occasional bespoke development for client or internal management requests. You will have a direct reporting line to the local management team as well as to be part of the overall Group IT directive.
- Working with the business units/teams on new IT initiatives/enhancements to the local systems.
- Managing projects/work requests to deliver new functionality, support business roll outs as directed by the Group IT Director.
- Ensuring adequate support for all applications with the company and work closely with both local and regional support teams to provide reliable and stable services to the users.
- Ensuring that the company IT technology standards/policies are adhered to at all times.
- Advising business and technology as to the subject matter expert in application matters.
- Communicate with different level of stakeholders to define business application requirements among the group and align the technical needs with group strategy
- Knowledge of complete System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of the in house web based platform and in-house business applications
- Provide administration, monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting on desktops, peripherals, anti-virus system, servers and various network devices such as Firewall/Network/Switches/Router/WiFi/Mobiles/VOP Devices
- Provide 2nd Tier support to end users and resolve technical issues with computing environment
- Co-ordinate with vendors to resolve problems.
- Document technical procedures, guidelines and manual.
- Provide information and generate reports for IT Audit and other external audits.
- Knowledge of the Marine or Shipping industry and related business system applications would be advantageous.
Job Requirements:
- Degree holder in IT / Computer Science or equivalent
- Have at least five (5) years IT relevant working experience in multi-nationals corporation environment.
- Operation and Project Management skills
- Able to provide analysis and identifying potential risks to each application
- Prior Hands On in application development, problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities
- Hands on Knowledge of Business Intelligence solutions such as Qlikview would be advantageous.
- Familiar with Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 system environment, Exchange 2010/2013 Email system.
- Familiar with SQL server 2008, virtual system like VMWare ESXI/Microsoft HyperV and Backup software like Backup Exec and Linux base servers.
- Familiar with a wide variety of client software such as MS Windows XP, 7,8, MS Office 2010/2013, Internet Explorer and general office application.
- Familiar monitor system like Microsoft System Center, SNMP Protocols, Syslog.
- Holder of CCNA or relevant qualification
- Trained in ITIL foundation / COBIT is preferred
- Good communication and inter-personal skills
- Self-discipline, proactive, independent, hardworking and able to work under pressure
