Job Description
The Therapy Associate is to provide therapeutic therapy interventions for patients in general inpatient wards, gym and/or outpatient clinics, under the supervision of a therapist.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Acquire basic knowledge of physiology and conditions specific to area of practice.
- Conduct therapy session independently for selected routine review cases by implementing appropriate therapeutic activities based on therapist’s instructions.
- Able to execute simple objective outcome measures as prescribed by the therapist in specific work area.
- Depending on clinical area, assist the therapist in the fabrication of orthosis / operating of devices necessary for rehabilitation.
- Depending on clinical area, run structured group therapy sessions.
- Provide basic patient education in structured format.
- Document patient records accurately using template provided.
Job Requirements
- Minimum GCE ‘O’ level or ITE NITEC or Higher Nitec (with at least 8 years of relevant work experience)
- Preferred with Work Study Diploma in Rehabilitation Care (with at least 5 years of relevant work experience)
- Relevant Overseas Allied Health Degree (non-AHPC approved)
- Passed Therapy Associate entry exam.
- Computer skills in Word and Excel.
- Service oriented and customer focused.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team worker
