Job Purpose
The successful candidate performs various tasks across Clearing Operations, Risk management and Treasury functions of ICE Clear Singapore (“Clearing House”) so that the Clearing House can operate smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Working with Heads of Clearing Operations, Risk management and Treasury to establish, maintain and operate a framework that will keep the Clearing House at the forefront of global best practice.
- Strong sense of customer relationship and providing excellent customer service to Clearing Members.
- Ensuring that Clearing Rules, Regulation and Procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Proactive management, escalation and resolution of operational incidents that arise, including root cause analysis, driving subsequent process and/or technology improvements and providing support with reporting to regulators where appropriate.
- Working with colleagues to design, develop and implement enhancements to clearing house systems and processes including writing business requirements and performing UAT.
- Proficient in risk and control concepts, participating in the implementation and operation of an effective control environment by generating reports, monitoring and mitigating risks that may arise.
- Providing Clearing Operations, Risk management and Treasury services support for other clearing houses within the group during Singapore office hours.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Strong academic background with a solid understanding of financial markets, market structure, and regulatory frameworks.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, preferably with an understanding of exchange traded instruments risk management and its clearing & settlement lifecycle
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools such as Tableau, with the ability to analyse data and draw meaningful insights.
- Preferable to have working level competency in SQL to query data and Excel VBA skills to troubleshoot report generation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High level of attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with ability to work effectively and independently with minimal supervision.
Schedule
This role offers work from home flexibility of 1 day per week.
