Job Description
As part of the Centre for Healthcare Simulation, you will work closely with the rest of the team in providing support to the various medical and nursing, undergraduate and postgraduate skills and simulation training programs.
This position plays a supporting role in ensuring all audio video and IT equipment are in good working condition for the delivery of quality simulation training in the NUS Medicine Centre for Healthcare Simulation (CHS).
1. Responsible for setting up skills and simulation training, and assessment for Nursing UG & PG, Medicine UG & PG, and CHS courses.
Duties include:
- Liaise with faculty on the setup and support requirement
- Prepare and setup equipment and consumables
- programming of simulation scenarios onto simulator
- prepare moulages for classes
- teardown of setup
2. Provide onsite technical support and orientation to the Centre's faculty and trainees. This includes:
- programming of simulation scenarios
- recording
- retrieval of videos for debriefing
- briefing on use of equipment and system
- act as confederate during simulation session if required
3. Ensure the lab is tidy and safe for learning and working.
4. Handle MD3 facility operational work such as:
- ensure facility is clean and tidy
- liaise with infrastructure team or contractor for repair works or servicing
5. In-charge for scenarios/details for Nursing and PG.
6. Fire Warden for the Centre.
7. Qualified N95 mask fitter trainer and PPE trained. Training will be provided.
8. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by RO
Qualifications & Requirements
• Able to communicate concisely with all levels of stakeholders
• Strong in IT, audio video and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of medical terms and jargons will be advantageous
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in healthcare or education environment will be advantageous. Fresh graduates are welcome.
• A good team player who is able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willing to work on weekends and staggered shift when required
