Manager, Head of Centre (Youth Services)

New Life Youth Services caters to 11 - 21 years of age. Our mission is to mentor youths by positively impacting their lives, developing their resilience through nurturing mentorships, and empowering them to initiate change within their communities.


The Centre Head of Youth Services works in youth work management. He/She should be qualified to monitor and manage the organisation’s strategic initiative, resource management, collaboration and corporate governance to ensure operational efficiency. He/She oversees strategic planning, and implementation budgets the use of capital and human resources, develops professional development programs, and initiates professional relationships across agencies. He/She also ensures operational and governance efficiency through supervision of staff, performance evaluation, and policy implementation.


Responsibilities:


1. Build professional partnerships and collaborations within the organization and across agencies.

2. Maintain operational efficiency in line with strategic objectives

  • Support the organization’s missional purpose and values.
  • Develop a work plan for the department in alignment with organizational goals
  • Implement changes to priority service areas for the department
  • Oversee implementation of operational strategies for the department
  • Lead resolution of operational issues within the department
  • Develop service standards, performance indicators, and operating guidelines for the department
  • Provide supervision and support to team members for crises and concerns faced by youths

3. Develop organizational capability for service delivery

  • Assess capability gaps within the team
  • Identify and oversee the implementation of management development and/or professional development programs for the team
  • Conduct audits on service quality to ensure compliance with policies.

4. Manage, deploy, and monitor the use of resources, drafting funding proposals for the delivery of services.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years prior experience in leadership and people management role (youth sector or related fields)
  • Preferably Degree in Social work / Counselling / Psychology
  • Independent, possess good organisational skills
