What You’ll Do
- Responsible for testing and automating frontend and backend applications.
- Design test automation architecture and implement from scratch for cross-platform applications.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining data quality modules to facilitate automated tracking and pre-emptive alerting in accordance with governance principles.
- Work with in-house development team and/or 3rd party product development team to define the scope of testing.
- Create effective test strategy, test plan according to project schedule.
- Create test cases, execute test cases, report defects and perform root cause analysis on issues.
- Perform data reconciliation for batch and real time data processing.
- Debug and resolve issues related with test automation frameworks.
- Attend daily stand-up meetings to present regular status to all stakeholders.
- Integrate CI/CD pipeline for QA Automation framework which includes job building and deployment.
What Will Make You Shine
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent/higher.
- 7+ years of software automation testing and data quality testing experience
- Strong technical skills with hands on experience in programming with java or Python
- UI Automation - Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or any similar framework
- API automation – RestAssured or any similar API automation framework
- Familiarity with common big data technologies such as Yarn, Spark, HDFS, understanding of data ETL processes, good literacy, and foundation in mathematical analysis.
- Experienced in different types of testing - functional testing, non-functional testing, SIT, UAT, etc.
- Strong script writing and maintaining experience in SQL
- Ability to understand existing BDD frameworks and make changes wherever required.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a successful team player.
- Strong initiative, sense of responsibility and ability to work under pressure are required.
Desirable:
- Banking experience
- Experience in working with big data systems
- Experience in working with No-SQL databases such as MongoDB
- Performance tuning experience will be added benefit.
