About the Role:
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure across the APAC region. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving transformation across the network infrastructure.
Major Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise networking, including firewalls, load balancers, network encryption, port authentication, and overall network controls and management.
- Drive network improvements and standardization in Datacenters, Campus, and Remote Branch offices.
- Plan, stage, implement, and support hardware and software solutions in production environments.
- Provide post-cutover support, documentation, and end-user training.
- Test, debug, conduct performance analysis, and document network infrastructure components.
- Create and implement test plans, including functionality, integrity, and stress testing.
- Ensure network plans integrate effectively with other aspects of technical infrastructure.
- Develop and configure network infrastructure from conceptualization through stabilization.
- Diagnose and resolve network-related incidents and outages to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide network solutions.
- Proactively monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements.
- Conduct capacity planning assessments to anticipate future requirements and ensure scalability.
- Implement network infrastructure by performing product customization, development, and verification procedures.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of network infrastructure for new projects.
- Create and maintain written documentation and diagrams for supported systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience supporting network and network security environments in a mission-critical environment.
- Experience with Proxy and Zscaler (ZIA) implementations is an added advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, constantly changing environment.
- Experience managing and driving complex global and regional projects with multiple functional teams.
- Hands-on experience with network security design and operations, including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), firewalls (Zscaler, Symantec, Palo Alto, Fortinet), and load balancers (F5).
- Experience in security practices and methodologies, including SSL/TLS encryption, sandbox, and advanced threat protections.
- Knowledge and experience in user authentication concepts (SAML, MFA, SSO).
- Certification and/or training with vendor-neutral or vendor-specific focus.
- Basic understanding of operating system administration (Windows and Linux).
- Basic scripting and automation experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to technical and non-technical staff.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
