Position Overview

The Head of Kinesso Sigapore oversees the business operation, strategy, go-to-market approach and team for Kinesso Singapore and its APAC hub, IPG Mediabrands’ performance marketing agency. This person will report to the APAC President for Kinesso. The successful candidate with be responsible for working with the Client Business Leads, Investment Leads and other disciplines as well as key IPG Mediabrands organizations to understand the digital landscape, define the agency’s digital vision and prepare the organization to execute against that vision.


Essential Functions
The Head of Kinesso will be responsible for the following:

  • Understand the digital landscape and identifying the key trends that will drive Kinesso’s and our client’s business
  • Take ownership of the Kinesso Singapore P&L and develop a commercially sound plan to ensure revenue and profit targets are met annually
  • Lead a new business pipeline and ensure there is a plan around growth from existing clients and new to agency clients
  • Work with Client Business Leads and key IPG Mediabrands organizations to define the key annual digital priorities. These priorities will drive the organization’s focus and investment in terms of training, client education/discussion materials and thought leadership, PR strategy, etc.
  • Work with the Leadership Team and key IPG Mediabrands organizations to ensure the organization is prepared to execute against the key annual digital priorities including helping planning teams infuse digital priorities upfront in the process as well as working with investment teams to represent our priorities to Magna during key partner negotiations
  • Review digital capabilities across the organization, identify best practices and develop a plan for spreading best practices more broadly across Kinesso, UM and Initiative (all IPG Mediabrands key agencies)
  • Serve as a thought leader and digital strategist for key clients

Roles & Responsibilities

Team management

  • Team management across paid search, paid social, SEO, and programmatic as well as offshore activation & analytics team
  • In charge of hiring for the business needs for the team
  • Ensure optimal work load across team members and recalibrate accounts and clients where needed
  • Provide solution for any gaps in team resources; Work with internal regional or global Kinesso or media platforms for any training/skillset needed

Client management

  • Manage indirect and direct client relationships
  • Ensure direct client relationships are managed well and have good relationships to grow business
  • Provide solutions for any issues that need to be resolved
  • Support UM and INI on any troubleshooting of issues
  • Be the face for key clients where relevant

Vendor/platform management

  • Work with these media/vendor platforms for any upcoming training needed
  • Stay ahead of the curve with strong vendor relationships and with first-hand information and POV
  • Cascade the information to the various teams of UM and INI to enable cross pollination of knowledge
  • Platforms knowledge to certain extent

New Business development

  • Entrepreneur spirit in new biz development
  • Participate in new business pitches with wider UM and INI teams
  • Participate in new business pitches for Kinesso where relevant
  • Have pipeline across various craft pillars on existing clients and new clients where possible

Finance

  • Manage the P/L with MBWW finance team
  • Work with finance and HR on all financial and HR matters

Internal

  • Participate in awards where relevant and feasible
  • Enable craft leadership in the teams with training or sharing of proprietary tools to the teams
  • Grow craft knowledge and leadership eg. Ecommerce, Analytics and others within current team and potentially expand the specialist teams


Ideally

  • Vast experience related to digital;
  • Experience in managing mid-large staff
  • Experience with multiple client and business categories
  • Excellent quantitative skills; Ability to interpret analyze data to inform go-to-market strategies
  • Strong marketplace relationships with senior sales people at major media companies
  • Creative approach to defining deal terms including pricing models and value based on client objectives
  • Outstanding knowledge and hands-on experience including programmatic display, video, mobile, native advertising platforms and various online bid models (CPM, CPC, CPA, CPI, etc.
  • Have strong demonstrable experience of developing and implementing SEO and social media campaigns.
  • High level of comfort presenting to clients and internal team members
  • Solid understanding of marketing/communications process
