Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth within a company. They develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities, and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue in line with projected income.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
- Analyze market trends and prepare forecasts.
2. Client Acquisition and Retention:
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
3. Business Development Planning:
- Plan, develop, and oversee the implementation of business development strategies.
- Prepare business proposals and presentations.
4. Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Identify and close new business deals.
- Negotiate with stakeholders and handle objections.
- Meet revenue and sales targets.
5. Collaboration and Networking:
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and product development, to ensure brand consistency.
- Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.
6. Project Management:
- Manage and lead projects to successful completion.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
7. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare reports for upper management.
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.r Degree or equivalent.
- Min. 5 years work experience in sales management; experience in FMCG will be advantages.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong Leadership, Team-player, Result-Oriented and Customer-Focus.
