Job Summary:
As a Canteen Service Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our mission to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a clean, efficient, and inviting atmosphere. Your role encompasses assisting in food preparation, meal serving, cash handling, and upholding stringent food safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
- Assist in creating delicious meals, snacks, and beverages following our menu and recipes.
- Ensure timely preparation of food items, maintaining high-quality and safety standards.
- Portion and package food for serving or storage with precision.
Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Keep the kitchen spotless and organized, including all workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Adhere to sanitation procedures to guarantee a hygienic environment.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen tools as required.
Customer Service:
- Serve food to students, faculty, and staff with a friendly and efficient demeanor.
- Professionally and promptly address customer inquiries and complaints.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked dining area.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks effectively.
