- Assist in the management of HMPI, with the help of professional captive manager
- Carry out annual renewal exercise to promptly place out the insurance and reinsurance programme
- Work with the Clusters/Institutions and broker to collate the necessary underwriting information for the annual renewal
- Review new insurance programmes to be undertaken by HMPI, as necessary
- Monitor and manage the financial and operational well-being of HMPI
- Analyse claims to identify key trends and risk areas
- Carry out actuarial and analytical studies on historical claims data, with the help of professional actuarial consultants as needed
- Categorise claims into logical grouping for analysis and ease of future referencing
- Participate in quarterly claims meeting with broker and reinsurers to review claims and determine reserve
- Liaise with Clusters/Institutions and stakeholders on claims matters
- Plan and organise trainings on medico-legal claims for doctors and Clusters/Institutions
- Identify and work with training providers on the provision of trainings, including the curation of content, billing matters, administration, etc.
- Manage the prompt submission for financial/regulatory reporting
- Prepare and conduct AGM and Board meetings
- Conduct tenders for procurement activities of HMPI in accordance with company procurement policy
Requirements
- Tertiary education, with relevant working experience in general insurance.
- Good number crunching and financial modelling skills
- Skilful with Excel software
- Effective writing skills, able to present complex concepts in simple and direct language
- Healthcare ERM experience would be highly advantageous
