About the Role
As a member of our Data Platform team, you will lead a group of data analysts across Southeast Asia, focusing on data products and solutions for enterprise services. Leveraging our company's cutting-edge data infrastructure, you will help enterprise customers in the region build next-generation data warehouses and analytics capabilities, enabling innovative solutions previously not possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Align Southeast Asian business teams with company-wide values, goals, strategies, and roadmaps, empowering regional operations with data and engineering capabilities
- Lead and manage data engineering teams across Southeast Asia, setting goals and roadmaps tailored to regional needs
- Establish development guidelines, standards, and best practices specific to the Southeast Asian market
- Ensure data platforms, pipelines, and solutions meet high standards of stability, scalability, efficiency, security, and low latency for regional enterprise clients
- Define standards for data engineering development and operations in Southeast Asia
- Foster an innovative engineering culture, promoting technological advancements relevant to the region
- Guide the team with a vision of emerging technologies and digital trends pertinent to Southeast Asian markets
- Hire, develop, and retain a highly productive team of data analysts across Southeast Asia
- Oversee the implementation and quality of software solutions and projects in the region
- Provide technical expertise on software and platform features, considering regional security and risk factors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or relevant disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Big Data Tech Stacks
- Proficiency in data warehousing, data lake theory, and methodology
- Strong knowledge of data management, governance, and architecture design
- Proven experience managing big data engineering teams in Southeast Asia
- Excellent coding skills (SQL/Python/Java/Scala)
- Experience leading large-scale projects requiring complex cross-team collaborations
- Demonstrated ability to lead multicultural teams across Southeast Asia
- Strong understanding of Southeast Asian markets and business cultures
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across diverse Southeast Asian markets
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in data analytics roles within Southeast Asia
- Familiarity with regional data protection regulations and compliance requirements
- Multilingual skills, particularly in major Southeast Asian languages
- Experience working with or for multinational companies in the region
