The Role
You will be part of a group finance supporting the accounting functions across multiple subsidiaries, stakeholders and across the region. You can expect diverse industry exposure within the group from offline to online businesses ranging from sand supply, reclamation and construction, Travel and Lifestyle, Retail e-Commerce to the latest venture on Technology.
You are trusted to apply the accounting principles and processes in accurately executing all accounts and reporting. You enjoy being immersed in a dynamic environment.

What you’ll be doing:
- Assist in daily accounting activities
- Generate reports for management reporting
- Ensuring data-integrity of all accounting information
- Maintain a trusted partnership with the stakeholders across various functionalities
- Ensure accurate and prompt delivery of all accounting tasks
- Assist in audit and ensure compliance with the Financial Reporting Standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with bankers for any transnational issues
- Perform Ad-hoc assignments
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Manage the reconciliation of accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Stay updated with changes in IFRS standards and ensure their proper application within the organisation.
- The candidate should preferably have experience in Accounts Payable (AP).

- At least a Diploma in Accounting and CPA qualification is preferred.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role, with at least 3 years of experience.

- Strong computer literacy
- Experience with the Accounting Software, Xero will be an added advantage
- Experience with marine/ dredging industry is a plus
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial statements.
- Familiarity with IFRS standards and their application.
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
