This role is responsible in supporting the Corporate Banking Relationship Managers and Head on all matters relating to Anti-Money Laundering, credit and marketing and loan/account operation.
Marketing and client facing initiatives
· Support Relationship Managers and Head with strategic planning for ongoing marketing efforts.
· Visit customers when required in order to achieve a clear understanding of credit risks and identify business opportunity.
· Prepare discussion sheet/deal memo and call report to clear the name with CRO internally, subsequently assist to complete full credit proposal.
· Liaise with customers on account opening, deposit-taking, remittances and general transaction process
· Handle customers’ inquiries, liaise and develop relationship and businesses with Head Office, domestic branches, overseas branches and inter-departments as well as corporate customers
Onboarding/KYC/AML
· Prepare name clearance and customer due diligence checklist for all new/existing customers/borrowers
· Ensure KYC onboarding/reviews in compliance with Bank’s policy and in line with MAS regulation required for all transactions
Credit, Risk and financial analysis & ad hoc activities
· Manage ongoing portfolio of client accounts including monitoring any adverse developments, monitoring covenants and risk triggers, and preparing credit reviews.
· Perform and handle any ad-hoc periodic or non-periodic reports/data/statistics required.
- Assist RMs for timely submission of high quality and accurate deal memo and credit proposal with ability to highlight key business angle that help to close deal and maximise revenue generation.
- Maintain good communication with RM and Credit and proactive in finding information that will value add to the deal.
- Timely completion credit reviews with a thorough analysis on obligor's business/financial performance and industry outlook and identify any potential red flags or early warnings.
- Monitor post loan repayment records, collateral valuation, covenant compliance and industry situation.
- Timely liaising with internal stakeholders (eg. loan/trade/treasury operation/compliance/legal) for required documents on credit, operation and legal documentation.
- Timely completion of onboarding and periodic reviews according to Client On Boarding’s and Compliance's requirements.
- Keep abreast with Client On Boarding's and Compliance's KYC procedures and regulations
- Maintain good communication with RM, COB and Compliance.
