Job Responsibilities:
Interior Design:
- Collaborate with Landlords, Contractors, Sales, Merchandising, and Marketing teams to conceptualize, design, and plan retail pop-out stores/counters/kiosks.
- Source materials and coordinate with suppliers and contractors for shop fit-outs and renovations.
- Create designs, drawings, and cutting lists for retail spaces like shops, counters, and exhibition booths.
- Present mood boards, layout plans (often using 3D software like Sketchup), and detailed drawings for retail spaces.
- Develop graphic design artworks using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Design themes and plans for window displays, in-store displays, signage, and posters.
- Project Management:
- Manage the fit-out of local retail shops and counters.
- Plan and develop master plans, A&A plans, M&E plans, and renovations for retail outlets.
- Prepare and submit renovation plans complying with local regulations and landlord requirements.
- Source fit-out contractors, manage the tender process, and coordinate with multiple trade contractors and suppliers during project execution.
- Arrange and attend site meetings, coordinate on-site installation work, and supervise installation activities.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders (contractors, suppliers, business partners, landlords, colleagues) on shop fitting progress.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, supervising and coordinating works according to project plans for quality and timeliness.
- Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to ensure high-quality work by contractors and suppliers.
- Perform quality checks and manage project handover, addressing outstanding matters/defect items.
- Provide progress updates to the Accounts department for billing purposes.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Diploma / certification in any of the following: Architecture, Interior Design, Project/construction management, related building construction/ M&E studies.
- Min two (2) years of experience in project management, preferably in retail industry.
- Familiar with Architectural Drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCad, Adobe (CS, Photoshop, Illustrator), Corel, SketchUp, 3D Max
- Familiar with carpentry, electrical, renovation works and fit-out works.
- Creative and have interest in changing trends in retail space design
- Experience in managing multiple projects.
- Positive, commitment and “can-do” attitude.
