The Solution Architect is responsible for gathering requirements and functional specifications, assessing the current software systems in place in order to identify areas in need of improvement, and providing guidance to the application development teams within Woh Hup group. The incumbent is expected to regularly update the company on any developments in systems architecture projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
- Provide the overview architecture map followed by continuous improvement to the architecture design of IT infrastructure and applications and develop a roadmap for the team.
- Provide technical solutions and guidance in migration of servers from on-premises to cloud environments and transition of legacy IT infrastructures.
- Examine and identify database structural necessities and assess implementation procedures that comply with internal and external regulations
- Communicate with various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented, monitoring of system performance and integration of new systems.
- Assess the business impact that certain technical choices have and reducing the technical debt within the organization so to enhance productivity.
- Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.
- Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.
- At least 3 years of proven work experience in engineering and software architecture design, preferably in built environment or related industries.
- Certification of solution architect or big data analytics in AWS or Azure or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
- Candidates with project management experience would have added advantage.
- In-depth understanding of coding languages (Java, JavaScript). Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases.
- Comfortable with working with stakeholders based in Vietnam and Singapore.
- Effective communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
