ACCOUNTANT

Job Summary:


The Accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records and transactions in the accounting system.
    Reconcile bank statements and other financial statements.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    Assist in the preparation of financial statements for external audits.
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
  • Transaction Management: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
    Prepare and submit invoices, manage billing, and track payments.
  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    Assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
    Monitor budget performance and report on variances.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
    Assist with tax planning and documentation.
  • Other Duties: Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support business operations.
  • Assist in special projects and financial analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (CPA or CMA certification is a plus.)
  • Experience: 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
    Experience with [specific accounting software, e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle] is desirable.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    High attention to detail and accuracy.
    Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Personal Attributes: Integrity and professionalism.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills.
