Job Description
Our client, a Japanese based firm in the metals, exports and food market is sourcing for a Non-Ferrous Metals Trader as part of their expanding team.
The role revolves around developing and sustaining the non-ferrous trading business on a global scale, encompassing both the purchase and sales of scrap metals.
This role requires the incumbent to leverage market intelligence to identify potential suppliers and clientele base in the region, expanding the firm’s account base by being the face of the company at trade shows, conferences and other related industry events. Successful candidates can anticipate working in a fast paced and diverse environment with a collaborative and dynamic culture.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Open to all nationalities, with preference given to Singaporeans/PR candidates
- Only diploma or degree holders will be considered
- Experience in commodity trading or the non-ferrous metals sector will be advantageous
- Expertise in shipping and various trade payment modes is preferred
- Candidates must be willing to travel occasionally for client and supplier visits at a short notice.
- Able to liaise with Chinese speaking clients and vendors.
- Ability to converse with foreign clients will be advantageous
